"Technology is human innovation in action."The HMS FemGineers have taken 2nd place in the New Jersey Regional Future City Design Challenge.
There is a great article in the Star Ledger showcasing Heritage: http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2010/01/new_jersey_middle-school_stude_1.html
Kim Villone, Deanna Tran and Christina Tai were on the 2nd place team named Aqualopolis. They each brought home a medal, and a personal DVD player. In addition, they won a $500 grant for the Heritage Middle School Technology Education Program sponsored by Jacobs Engineering firm. Kim is the feature photo in the article above.
Sofi Soroka, Gabi Romano and Grace Ming won the title of "Best Residential Zone" for their city Ivy Green, and brought home gift cards for TGI Friday's. They will also be appearing on the Verizon Fios news program in the very near future. Sofi also has a quote in the Star Ledger.
Other teams that participated in this tremendous undertaking were:
Orb City
Liz Deltufo
Brianna Valese
Sam Waldenberg
