Welcome to Mrs. Whitehill's ESL class,
where every student learns
the language, culture, and customs of the USA while
maintaining pride and respect for their own and each other's
heritage!
ESL 1 covers the basics needed for communication. Topics include school vocabulary, family, clothes, food, occupations, body parts, etc. plus basic grammar. ESL 2 recycles the basics and adds more academic content area vocabulary, concepts, textbook reading comprehension, and academic writing. ESL 3 includes all of the above with a greater stress on advanced content area requirements including more challenging reading comprehension activities and varieties of essay writing.
