There are so many more things that the PTA provides for our kids, please take the time to read about the activities and volunteer your time during the year to help keep these programs running into the future, and support our fundraisers to keep this level of giving going!

Lunch Program- Coordinated and served – by parent VOLUNTEERS - 5 days per week!

After School Enrichment – Over 20 Enrichment Classes are offered each week after school for most of the school year.  There is a moderate fee for these classes and most of the instructors are expert local vendors!

Half Day Activities- Entertainment and lunch are provided for a nominal cost for most half days!

Book Fair – Annual 4 day book fair held in the Fall.  The PTA pays for 1 book for each student as a gift, and parents have the opportunity to grant many teachers “wishes” by purchasing books off a “wish list” for classroom libraries.

New books in the Media Center – The PTA provides funds for the media center director to purchase new books; in addition parents can contribute by donating to the “Library Birthday Book Fund”.

Field Day - Fantastic day in the Spring where all students get a chance to show their appreciation for various sporting activities.

School Show – this showcases the many talents of our MPE students and it is directed and produced just like a “Broadway” show!  You won’t want to miss it!
School Fair - An old favorite, for the last few years, this event has been entirely paid for by the PTA as one of the many gifts we provide to our students each year.  The end of the year is celebrated with water rides, games, prizes and many more activities.

Grants / Gifts for teachers & students - School budgets don’t provide the teachers or the school with all of the things that they need / want for their classrooms – so the teachers write grants and when approved by the PTA Board, the funds are provided.  In past years, we have approved grants and provided gifts for Kindergarten birthday books, 20 digital flip video camcorders, photo printer and i-pods.  Annually we give every classroom teacher $500 to purchase supplies.   This year we purchased smart boards, ladybug projectors, and clickers for the smart boards that otherwise the school would not have at this point.

Cultural Arts Program - Provide an extensive array of assemblies allowing various groups and organizations to entertain and educate our children approximately 6 times per year.

School trips - The PTA funds the busing used for school trips throughout the year.

As always, we appreciate all of your fundraising efforts, and wanted you to know how the funds we raise make their way back to our kids!
