The following are a list of strategies to assist your child with reviewing material covered in their specific class:

*Please check your child's assignment pad each night and review their individual assignments.

3rd Grade IRLA

• READ!  READ!  READ!  Read 15 minutes each night.  Record the date, how long you read, and of course the book (or books!) you read in your reading log.
  
• Complete spelling activity each night.
• Comprehension activity (i.e. journal entry in Reader's Notebook)
  
• Review sight words.
• Have your child practice reading out loud to you. 
• Discuss stories with your child by retelling the stories beginning, middle, and end. Here is a list of reading strategies that can help you figure out more questions to ask and skills to encourage to support your child's reading comprehension.
• Remind your child to proofread all of their work for proper writing mechanics.
