  • Students with cardio-vascular fitness may score up to 5% higher on standardized tests than children classified as unfit. This translates to an average of 16 points higher on Language Arts and 19 points higher in Math.

 

  • According to Shaping NJ, 1 out of 3 (31%) of children ages 10-17 are over-weight or obese in NJ.

 

  • According to the NY Times research shows exercise forms new neurons in the brain that can multi-task to improves cognitive tasks.
