We will be wrapping up the energy lessons and beginning our last  unit on biological communities.
 
 
In reading and writing workshop we have moved into a final unit on reading historical fiction in book clubs and writing a narrative story based on a historical period they have studied. This will require doing research on the time period they have chosen and taking notes to make their story as authentic as possible.  Independent reading will be continuing as usual with students reading for at least 40 minutes a night.
 
Word study groups are ongoing. We will be doing vocabulary building as well.
 
  
Here is the  6 day rotation for specials this year for our homeroom.
 
If you have downloaded the main Hillside rotation calendar with the day numbers on it , the first subject is the special and the second is the early morning activity.

Day 3: PE / Band
Day 4: Art / Chorus
Day 5: Spanish
