    Hot Cup of Cocoa

    (5th) It’s c-c-c-c cold outside.   (4th) shiver!

    (5th)  I’m f-f-f-f freezing.     (4th) brrrrrr!

(4th)  My nose is getting runny.  (5th) sniff, sniff

    (4th) I hope I don’t start sneezing.  (5th)  Ah-choo!

    (All)

    My t-t-t-t tootsies---------  are F-R-O-Z-E-N that’s frozen!

If I counted I’m not sure that I would still have ten.

I want a,   hot cup of cocoa with a,   marshmallow or two.

I want a,   hot cup of liquid love only the chocolate kind will do.

I want a,   hot cup of cocoa to warm me up from head to toe.

(5th)  Make it in a mug. (4th)  Pour it in a cup.

(All)  Serve it on a saucer and warm me up with a h-h-h-h hot, c-c-c-c cup, of c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c co-co-coa.

    (5th) It’s n-n-n-n nippy. (4th) It’s n-n-n-n nippy.

(5th) The wind is really blowing. (4th) The wind is really blowing.

(5th)  I wonder if it ever. (4th)  I wonder if it ever.

(5th) Will stop s-s-s snowing.  (4th) Will stop s-s-s snowing.

    (5th) There’s o-o only one thing.  (4th)  There’s o-o only one,

(All)  That will warm my frozen feet.

A nice and hot, like a lot, steamy cup of chocolate, will turn up my heat.

    I Wish

I wish that no one was hungry or cold

Or hurt or frightened or sad.

I wish that I could turn straw into gold.

I’d share each ounce that I had.

I wish that people would learn to listen and

    Understand all the words.

I wish that no one was ever upset and

    no one ever felt bad.

    I wish.

(Repeat the whole song and part 2 add  “ah’s”)

    Ending

    I wish, I wish, I wish.

    A Round ‘Bout Winter

A round /bout winter now we sing, as winter’s images we bring.

So close your eyes and fantasize, and feel ole winter’s icy sting.

Won’t you come outside and play? Bring along your skis and sleigh.

Careful ‘cause it’s slippery, bend your knees now one, two, three.

Down the slippery slopes we go, gliding through the mounds of snow.

If you fall we’ll lend a hand, in this wintry wonderland.  (now sing in a round)

Now some folks live down south you know, they never see a flake of snow.

They’re swimming, diving in a lake, while others shiver ‘round and shake.

Building castles in the sand, working on a perfect tan.

Water skiing for the brave, surfing on a perfect wave.

North or South of East or West, we like wintertime the best.

Freezing cold or blazing sun, winter’s fun for everyone. (now sing in a round)

    Winter’s fun for e—very----one-----.

    Winter’s A Drag Rag

    Part 1

I’m tired of the winter and I’m sick of all the snow,

Disgusted with the climate that would please an Eskimo.

I’d really like to leave it but there’s nowhere else to go.

I surely hope that spring is on the way!

I’m tired of the icicles and all the heavy clothes.

I’m troubled by the temperature and weary of its woes.

I’d like to cure my fever and to warm my numbing toes.

I surely hope that spring is on the way!

I’d like to see a robin hopping cheerfully around.

I’d love to find a meadowlark and listen to its sound.

I long to watch the greening of the grass upon the ground.

But I’m afraid it’s true, the spring is overdue.

And so I button up my jacket and I brave the season’s chill.

But of this awful weather I have truly had my fill.

I’m yearning for a crocus or a pretty daffodil.

I surely hope that spring is on the wa-------y,

I only wish that it would come today!

    Part 2

Oh I am sick to death of all the snow.

Somehow I feel just like an Eskimo.

I’d like to find another place to go.

I hope that spring is on the way.

I’d like to leave behind the heavy clothes,

The falling temperature and all its woes.

I want to cure my cold and warm my toes.

I hope that spring is on the way!

I’d like to see the robins all around.

Find a lark and listen to its sound.

I long to watch the greening of the ground.

But spring it’s true, is overdue.

And so I button up and face the chill.

But of this weather I have had my fill.

And I am yearning for a daffodil.

I hope that spring is on the wa----y.

I wish that it would come today!
