Reading Strategies
- Look at the pictures for clues.
- Get your mouth ready to say the word by shaping the mouth for the beginning letter sound.
- Does the word look like another word you know?
- Skip over the tricky word, read to the end of the sentence and go back.
- Try a word and ask yourself- Did it make sense? Did it sound right? Did it look right?
