Greetings! My name is Mrs. Katie Carlin, and I am so excited to continue teaching fifth grade this year at MPE!

A little about me: This is my seventh year teaching, and my sixth year teaching fifth grade. I grew up in Sarasota, Florida, then moved to New York City to attend New York University. I then moved to Minneapolis where I received my Master of Education from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. My husband and I then moved back to New Jersey to be closer to family, and soon after I began working at MPE! I love cooking, traveling, reading and playing with my daughter, Caroline.

My favorite food is a tie between sushi and tacos. This is my fourth year teaching fifth grade at MPE, and that is wonderful because fifth grade is my absolute favorite grade to teach! I want to ensure your students have a happy, memorable last year of elementary school while setting them up for success in middle school.
