Dear Families, 

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! My name is Kathryn D'Anna and this is my 16th year teaching!! I’m so grateful to be your child's teacher and a part of the Riker Hill Ramily! My family and I had a nice summer and I hope you did too! 

It's going to be a great year, even though it will look a little different! I am looking forward to working with you and your child in person and remotely! I will be providing services for reading, writing and math for some students. I will be sending home materials through out the year for your child to use during our lessons in bags so please make sure the materials are kept safe and in good condition. These will be used on the days your child is remote. This year I will be using a platform called SeeSaw to post lessons, Zoom links and communicate with you! Please go to https://web.seesaw.me on a computer or install the Seesaw Class iOS or Android app to have access to your child's account. I will be sharing student codes shortly via email. A schedule of our class meeting and individual session times will be given. Please make your best effort to attend sessions when your child is remote. 

Most importantly, the classroom teachers and I will be working closely to plan, teach, and monitor your child’s progress. I believe that it is extremely important to keep in mind that we all build on small successes. Each child will progress at their own rate, acquiring skills, as they are developmentally ready. Maintaining each child’s self-esteem and building a secure foundation for future growth will always remain as my priority. I’m looking forward to a wonderful year!
