LHS DECA Shines on International Stage
Livingston High School's (LHS) DECA chapter made a significant impact at the highly competitive DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) held recently in Orlando, Florida. Against a field of 26,000 top DECA members from around the globe, LHS students showcased exceptional talent, bringing home multiple accolades, including the coveted "DECA Glass" award.
DECA, a renowned international student organization, is dedicated to developing future leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Through applied learning, community engagement, and business partnerships, DECA programs equip students with vital skills such as critical thinking, communication, and collaboration, preparing them for success in both college and their chosen careers.
In only its third year at LHS and second year competing at ICDC, the Livingston chapter achieved remarkable success. Our students secured five Top-10 awards and three Top-20 placements. A true highlight was junior Ruhaan Munjuluri, who earned second place overall in Automotive Marketing, capturing a prestigious DECA Glass award. Ruhaan was one of only ten New Jersey DECA members to achieve a top-three finish this year, out of over 13,000 statewide members.
