Today's Summary…
Morning Meeting -We began our day with an SEL activity in which we shared a Which One Wednesday. We completed a slideshow on Google Classroom all about what age we would love to be.
Social Studies- Today we continued researching for our West State Projects.
**We had our district health lesson on puberty today during our SS and reading periods as needed (boys first, then girls). Remember if you have any questions it is important to talk to a trusted adult.
Reading/Writing: Today we continued exploring our unit on informational research. For our research essay the topic we will focus on is: climate change. Today we CONTINUED to jot our sources and facts into our “Gathering Grid” and Writer’s Notebook. We reviewed how to research using online sources, printed articles, and nonfiction books. Tomorrow, you will select your final project choice.
This week’s homework: Read 20 minutes nightly and READ chart due on FRI
Math- Today we continued in our measurement unit. We learned how to measure using customary units of weight. We discussed ounces, pounds and tons in relation to real-world objects. We also began learning about liquid measurements and previewed: fluid ounces, cups, pints, quarts and gallons. Check out the songs on Number Rocks to review.
HW: MIF sheet (p. 2 ONLY- back of yesterday’s sheet )
Science- We shared our Wild Robot STEM projects. As well as continuing to learn about forces. We learned about balanced and unbalanced forces through a Generation Genesis lesson video. We took notes and drew images on these two types of forces. Be sure to see Mrs. Triana or Ms. V if you missed today’s notes.

Word Study- We continued learning about words that end in -ly as we explored Sort 49 through our interactive sort. HW: continue sentences
