Today's Summary…
Morning Meeting -We began our day with a Memory Monday slide activity (see GC) and shared our favorite K-3 grade memories. We loved the ducklings in K, field day memories and all of the amazing friends we have made along the way!
Social Studies- Today we continued one of our final Regions Unit activities. As geographers we are now exploring our OWN state of NJ. We learned about New Jersey’s tourist attractions, special celebrations and state symbols. Today we focused on COMPLETING our poster projects. We are creating a mini-poster on why NJ should be considered the BEST state in the USA.
Reading/Writing: Today we continued researching and drafting for our climate change projects. Be sure to see Mrs.Triana if you need support. **We also began our district DRA (end of year) reading assessments. Everyone will be assessed over the next two weeks.
This week’s homework was: Read 20 minutes nightly and complete Notice and Sheet sheet (1 note per evening, due on TR)
Math- Today we continued in our measurement unit. We REVIEWED how to measure using customary units through a PROBLEM SOLVING lesson. Today we used BAR MODELS to ensure we understood the problems.
HW: Sheet
Science- NO sci due to double specials
**For specials today we had: ART and MUSIC
Word Study- We began learning the sort for Sort 50. This week we are focusing on comparatives -er, -est , -ier, and -iest at the end of a word.
HW: 2 BINGO activities OR sentences (your choice!!)-activities due on TR /Test on TR
