Today's Summary…
Morning Meeting -We began our day with sharing road trip stories in honor of National Road Trip Day. We completed “Morning Meeting Slides” posted on Google Classroom and had fun discussing our favorite road trip adventures. Happy Travels!! Summer is almost here!
Social Studies- Today we began our FINAL unit on USA Government. We shared our prior knowledge of rights and responsibilities. We read through the Bill of Rights and discussed how rights and responsibilities impact our schooling. Tomorrow, we will watch a video on Brainpop and learn more about this idea. **If you were at Spring Concert Rehearsal you will work on any missed work from SS during Morning Meeting tomorrow.
Reading: NO reading today due to Spring Concert rehearsal
Writing: Climate Change Essays/Projects are due!
HW: Critics’ Corner- be sure to read for 20-30 minutes nightly and look at the calendar distributed this week to see which day you are sharing your favorite book
Math- Today we continued in our measurement unit. We completed real-world problems on the METRIC system of measurement. We reviewed our Polya’s Problem Solving strategy to ensure we understand the problems well.
HW: MIF sheet
Science- Today we began learning about Newton’s Laws of Motion. We watched a BrainPop video and took notes on each law.
**For specials today we had: PE
Word Study- Sort 51- to recognize how the suffixes -ness, -ful and -less are added at the end of a word to change its meaning. Today we completed our INTERACTIVE and WORKBOOK SORT.
HW: 2 BINGO activities OR sentences due on Friday
