Today's Summary…
Morning Meeting -Today we created/shared our Morning Meeting slides. Today’s slides: I’m on Top of the World Tuesday- Tell us about your biggest accomplishment or proudest moment. It was so amazing to hear about all you have accomplished this school year. I am PROUD OF YOU!
Social Studies- Today we continued our unit on USA Government. We began learning about the 3 Branches of Government and their purpose. We will learn more about each branch through center activities throughout the rest of the week.
Reading/Writing: Today we completed our end of year LinkIt district reading assessment. **We will continue this assessment as needed tomorrow.
Today we also continued book clubs for our unit on historical fiction. Through our mentor text, Number the Stars we learned that readers pay attention to events occurring in a story and pause to connect parts they are reading to previous sections of the text. We reviewed how authors use “Notice and Note” strategies such as “Again and Again” to enable the reader to notice important details in the text.
HW: Read 20-30 min nightly and be sure to look over the Critics’ Corner calendar in preparation for sharing your favorite book (you read this school year).
Math- Today we REVIEWED 4th grade math skills through interactive activities in preparation for our District Link It Math testing tomorrow.
