Today's Summary… 

Morning Meeting -Today we completed created class logos. So fun!

Social Studies- Today we continued our unit on USA Government.  We learned about the 3 Branches through interactive center activities. We will continue our FLIPBOOKS in class tomorrow. 

Reading/Writing: Today we completed our end of year LinkIt district reading assessment. 

 Today we also continued book clubs for our unit on historical fiction. Through our mentor text, Number the Stars we learned that readers make connections as they read and gather story elements (characters, setting, problem, solution). We did this same work in our book club groups today. Be sure to have filled in the connections sheet (glued in reading notebooks). 

 HW: Read 20-30 min nightly and be sure to look over the Critics’ Corner calendar in preparation for sharing your favorite book (you read this school year). 

Math- Today we REVIEWED our measurement unit by completing the CHAPTER 5 Review pages in our Math in Focus textbook.  We will have our measurement test NEXT Wednesday, June 14. **A study guide is posted on GC and was sent via email. A paper copy for HW will be sent home TOMORROW.

HW: NO HW!!

 Science- Today we learned more about potential and kinetic energy. Be sure to complete the Brainpop video slides posted on Google Classroom. We are almost ready to research coasters!!

Word Study-NO Word Study on Wed- Reminder- Sort 52 -This week we are focusing on homophones. Homophones are words that sound alike but have different spellings and meanings.
