Today's Summary… 

Morning Meeting - It’s hard to believe it is our very LAST Friday of the school year. We are sure going to miss all of you!! Let’s enjoy our last few days together by remaining focused, on task, and spreading kindness. Today we completed a district EQUITY survey and created a class party google form. 

Social Studies- Today we continued our unit on USA Government.  We continued learning about the 3 Branches through interactive center activities and begin our final UNIT PROJECT (see project choices posted on GC).

Reading/Writing: Today we continued book clubs for our unit on historical fiction. Through our mentor text, Number the Stars we learned that readers determine the THEME of their text as they read. Be sure to have filled in the correlating sheet (glued in reading notebooks). Then, we read in our book club groups. 

 HW: Read 20-30 min nightly and be sure to look over the Critics’ Corner calendar in preparation for sharing your favorite book (you read this school year). 

Math- Ch 5 REVIEW- Review pages and Thinking Cap questions in our Math in Focus books

Reminder: Test on WED (study guide was sent home this week)

Science- Today we learned about roller coasters and WHY the first hill is the HIGHEST. We watched a Mystery Science video and also began defining coaster vocab terms.
