    Hello Riker Hill Families,


    Welcome to a new school year! My name is Lucia Santarella, and I will be your child’s English Language (ESL) teacher. I am so excited to be working with your family this year. This will be a very different school year with many new challenges for us to manage. I know that we can make this a year filled with wonderful learning experiences by working together and helping each other. 


    I would like to share some information about myself. I have been teaching in Livingston for 24 years. I share my home with my husband, my son who is in college, and my daughter who is a senior in high school. I am an English language learner, too, so I know how difficult school can be. I am here to help your family in any way that I can.


    This year, I will be working with your child in Mrs. Michinard’s classroom during the morning classes, and we will work remotely after school every Monday and Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 2:20 p.m.  When we work from home, please make sure your child has:
