Dear Harrison Families,

I hope everyone had a long relaxing weekend with friends and family! We are back to normal this week, but Thanksgiving is quickly around the corner next week! Just a reminder that we have a 12:00 dismissal on Wednesday, November 22nd. We will also be off on Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, November 24th! Please enjoy that time with family and friends. November is always a short month, but this is important for all our families!

Our Scholastic Book Fair starts tomorrow and will take place on November 14th and November 15th! We had rescheduled this for this week due to the error from Scholastic. Please reference the email on November 6th detailing all the information. I am attaching it here for your reference. Please make sure to load a child’s E-WALLET to make the process smooth for children to pick books. Thank you to the PTA for organizing the fair!

Picture retakes will be on Monday, November 20th. Any student who was absent on Picture Day will have their picture taken. If your child is getting a retake, please have them return the original to school. 

Last day to order for the PTA Pie Fundraiser for Thanksgiving! Fliers went home last Wednesday with details! Grab a yummy pie!

The PTA will be doing a Thanksgiving snack sale on Wednesday, November 22nd. This was a very popular fundraiser that helps give our kids a special snack on half days but also supports our 5th grade events. Please see the attached form to place your order! Please place your order by Wednesday, November 17th.

The Harrison Student Council is holding a fundraiser to provide fresh meals to families and people in need across Northern New Jersey through Table to Table’s Bag a Lunch, Help a Bunch campaign. Just one dollar, less than the cost of a lunch, can provide 10 meals! This organization works with restaurants and supermarkets to prevent food waste, and has provided over 227 million healthy and nutritious meals since starting in 1999. Last day of collection is Friday, December 15th. Please see the flier and lunch bag that will go home tomorrow for more details. Our student council will explain the initiative to all classes tomorrow.  As always, we thank you for your support and continued kindness!
