Dear Harrison Families,

I wanted to take a moment to extend our warmest wishes to all the fantastic mothers in our midst. Your boundless love, strength, and dedication enrich our school family every day, and we celebrate you wholeheartedly. Here's to a day filled with joy, laughter, and cherished moments with your loved ones. Our plant sale was a huge success, and thank you to those members of the PTA who helped our kids show appreciation for all our mothers in the community!

I also want to thank our entire community for the love and appreciation you all showed to our amazing teachers this week! Many teachers felt and appreciated all that support through your kind notes and thoughtful gestures of appreciation! Thank you especially to our PTA who provided an amazing luncheon from Tony Boys that our staff enjoyed on Tuesday!

Our 3rd graders are finished with their NJSLA testing! Thank you, parents, for making sure that our students were present and successful in showing their best work! If your child missed a day of testing, we will schedule makeups on any day this month. Our NJSLA testing continues this month with our 4th and 5th graders! The various dates are detailed below. Please make sure to come to school with a charged Chromebook each day for testing. Testing will start promptly in the morning once students are settled in after Morning Meetings. Thank you to all parents for your support for this important snapshot of your child’s learning and progress with grade-level standards.

Memorial Day is fast approaching on Monday, May 27th. Livingston has an annual Memorial Day Parade, and we would love for Harrison to celebrate the day by marching together. If your family would be interested in walking in the parade, please use this link to sign up. A committee member will reach out to you with more information by May 20th regarding meetup time, place, etc.

Our Multicultural Night is May 22 from 5:00-7:00 pm! Thank you to all the parents who are decorating tables to highlight our amazing diversity in Harrison School! Students can venture around the tables to learn a little about the countries represented in our community! Thank you to all our volunteers for making this night successful!

Our District Art Show begins on Wednesday, May 15, from 6:00-7:30 pm at the Livingston Mall! The exhibit stays open for a short period of time! Please enjoy the great artwork from our students in Livingston and Harrison School! Thank you, Ms. Anne Terkovich, our amazing Art teacher, for all her hard work!
