Hello, Hillside Families!

I hope you've had a great weekend!

The PTA's Scholastic Book Fair begins this week.  All classes have been scheduled to shop at the fair this week (please see the end of this document for the schedule).  While we do have make-up shopping times scheduled, we encourage students to shop during their scheduled times.  Please note the following additional information and notes from the Hillside PTA:

  • Our Huskies will shop starting Monday through Thursday with a make-up day on Friday.

  • Attached is information about your child's EWallet and tax charges. If you prefer not to send cash the day your child shops, you may open an EWallet instead. Scan the QR code on the flyer to set up your account.

  • Please consider that tax is added to every purchase, attached is a guide to figure out tax. Thank you!

  • Coin Drive: Thank you to everyone who participated in the All for Books Coin Drive Challenge! Winners will be announced this week.

  • Poster winners: Congratulations to the poster winners! K: Seher Batra (Mr. Sinsimer), 1: Maribella Munsch (Mrs. Murray), 2: Devan Patel (Mrs. Levine), 3: Mackenzie Cherisier (Miss Reid), 4: Brayden Zhou (Mrs. Micone), 5: Meagan Cherisier (Miss Begega). Thank you for your support and we look forward to a successful book fair!

Ramadan begins this Wednesday and ends on April 21.  Ramadan Mubarak to all of our families and friends who observe the holiday!  We wish you all an easy fast and wonderful month.  Since charity is one of the pillars of Ramadan, the PTA's Diversity Celebration Committee is conducting a Toy Collection that begins on Wednesday and ends on Friday, March 31.  Collected toys will be donated to Artists, Athletes, Activists, a non-profit organization that serves the underserved in the NYC area.  Please see this flyer for information and thank you, in advance, for your support!

Livingston Public Schools is, once again, offering a Summer Academy with enrichment opportunities for students.  Information about the academy can be found in this document.

The Livingston Public Library is hosting a Maker Day next Saturday, March 25.  Information about this event can be found in this flyer.

The PTA's Spring Fling is almost here! On May 11th, from 6pm to 8pm at The Hanover Manor, Hillside PTA is hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year. It's a fun event that both Hillside parents and staff enjoy attending! There will be dinner, drinks and baskets filled with prizes to bid on. Tickets are on sale now! Early bird prices are available until April 11th. Please see the flyer attached for information and registration link.
