Only a parent or legal guardian may register a new student in the Livingston School District.  Completed registration packets can be returned to the Board of Education office by contacting Amy Ennis, Registrar, to set up an appointment.  Mrs. Ennis may be reached at (973) 535-8000, x8002.
 
ENTRANCE AGES
According to district policy, the following eligibility ages are followed:
  • Preschool - A child is eligible for entrance into a program of special education who has attained his/her third birthday and has been found by the Child Study Team to be eligible for a program for the preschool disabled in accordance with rules of the State Board of Education. (For additional information, please visit our Student Services Department.)
  • Kindergarten - A child is eligible for entrance into kindergarten who will have attained the age of five years on or before October 1 of the year in which entrance is sought.
  • First Grade - A child is eligible for entrance into first grade who will have attained the age of six years on or before October 1 of the year in which entrance is sought.

INFORMATION REQUIRED TO COMPLETE REGISTRATION
To process a new student, please complete and supply the following documentation for your student at the time of registration:
  • Completed New Student Registration Packet 
  • Original Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Residency (for details, click here)
  • Transfer Card (if transferring from another district)
