Ms. Joanna Horwitz
Dear Fabulous Third Grade Families,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year! While this will certainly prove to be an interesting year, please know that my commitment to your child and your family is paramount.
My name is Joanna Horwitz, and I was born and raised just down the hill in West Orange, NJ. I attended Indiana University, and received my BA in both Theatre and Art History. After a brief career as a New York Talent Agent , I attended Hunter College and received my MS in Childhood Education. Once I finished my Masters, I taught Third and Fourth Grade in Harlem for ten years. I currently live in South Orange with my husband, and our two daughters Ellie, age 11, and Lyla, age 7. This will be my sixth year at Harrison, and I am thrilled to be a part of such a special family.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your family better! This week I will be making phone calls in the afternoons and evenings in an effort to touch base. If you are unavailable when I call, feel free to shoot me an email with a better time to contact you.
