Course GoalsThe Basic Skills Instruction Program for Mathematics in the elementary schools has two main goals:
1. Reinforce Mainstream Math Class Content
*reinforce content topics covered in the mainstream math classes that may have been challenging for students
2. Improve and Develop Each Student's Individual Skills
*analyze unique diagnostic test results to determine where each student needs to improve and develop specific skills
We accomplish these goals through:
In- Class Support
*attend mainstream math classes & collaborate with teachers on improving individual student skills
Small-Group BSI Math Classes
*Instruct students weekly in a small-group setting to develop the skills they need most
