Mrs. Amira Padilla
Hi, welcome to 1st grade! This will be my second year teaching at Hillside Elementary School. In addition to teaching 1st grade, I have experience teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade, as well as teaching martial arts (taekwondo) for over 15 years. My goal as a teacher is to encourage children to reach for their dreams, to believe nothing is impossible, and to trust that they can achieve whatever it is they set their mind to.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four children, Mikaela, Bella, Luca, and Cora. Most weekends throughout the year are spent at our kids’ swim meets and at our taekwondo studio. I also enjoy many sports, specifically taekwondo, snowboarding, running, and tennis. Other activities I enjoy are traveling, the beach, reading, and photography. I look forward to getting to know your child and family!
