    • November 2nd is Cohort A Day. Students will come to school and be dismissed at their typical time (starting 12:30pm). Closing Circle will not occur on this day as teachers will be conducting conferences. 

     

    • November 3rd is Election Day and no students are permitted in the building. All students must log on for their morning meeting. At this time teachers will explain the asynchronous work for the day. Students are to log back on for specials. Specialists will provide their Zoom link for students. Closing Circle will not occur on this day as teachers will be conducting conferences. 

     

    • November 4th is Cohort B Day. Students will come to school and be dismissed at their typical time (starting at 12:30). Closing Circle will not occur on this day as teachers will be conducting conferences

     

    • There is no school on Thursday, November 5th and Friday, November 6th. 

     

    • Updated Zoom links for conferences are attached to this email and can be found on the Collins website

     

    • Please make sure to Call for Safety x7102 if there is change in your child's attendance for any reason.  For a variety of reasons, it is necessary to provide the reason why you elected to keep your child home on an in person day.

    Week of October 26th

    Monday & Tuesday (Cohort A) 

    Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (Cohort B) 

     

    • Our Halloween class parties will look a little different this year. Class parents will be hosting an outdoor activity with the entire class during the week of the 26th. Please remember these events are for students and class parents only. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Class parents and teachers will share the details with each class. 

     

    • We will be having 2 Halloween Parades on Friday, October 30th. Specific details will be sent out next week. 
      • Halloween Parade 1 @ 1:15pm (K - 2)
      • Halloween Parade Parade 2  @ 2:00pm (3- 5)

    (Parades are for students and parents only

     

    • Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on November 2, 3 and 4.  Please note that school is open on November 2nd and 4th. November 2nd is an A day and November 4th is a B day. November 3rd (Election Day) is an all remote day for students and staff. On this day, students will have a live morning meeting with live specials along with asynchronous assignments for the day. Teachers will be conducting conferences throughout the entire day on November 3rd.

    • We can’t wait for our 3rd - 5th grade students to join our halls on Monday! You can find your child's cohorts on your Genesis Parent Portal.
      • Week of October 5th
      • Monday, Tuesday, Friday  (Cohort A) 
      • Wednesday and Thursday (Cohort B) 
    • BEFORE YOU ARRIVE Please see the Hybrid handbook and video that is attached to this email. Please watch the video as it helps make morning dropoff efficient and safe. Make sure to fill out the Covid Screener and have your green check available.

     

    • FEW REMINDERS: 

     

        • Only right turns from Arlington into our driveway. DO NOT make a left turn
        • Please have your green check ready for the staff member
        • Gates will be closing at 8:15 then you must exit the vehicle and walk your child to the door.
    • When students are remote please note they will be marked tardy if they are not online at the start of their morning meeting at 8:20am.  Three tardies equal an absence. 
    • We ask that adults DO NOT exit their vehicles and students exit the car on the passenger side only! Safety first.
    •  Use this link to report any technical issue  This is the quickest way to get assistance. A technician will reach out to you after you fill out the form.

    • Virtual Back to School Night will be on Tuesday, October 6th beginning at 6:00 pm. The schedule is attached. 

    • The PTO is sponsoring a virtual visit from Author in Residence - Janet Wong. She will be virtually meeting with our students on October 8th and 9th. To see more about Janet Wong visit her website at https://www.janetwong.com/.  Schedule is attached. 

     

    Save the Date! K - 2 Halloween parade will be Friday, October 30th! More info to come.

    • What a wonderful week!  Our school was filled with love and laughter!  Our youngest Cougars walked the halls and spent time with their classmates and teachers. We can’t wait to see our 3 - 5 students during the week of October 5th! 
    • Remember there is no school on Monday, September 28th. Next week’s cohort schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday (September 29 and 30) Cohort A.  Thursday and Friday (October 1 and 2) Cohort B.

  • Call for Safety In order to ensure the safety of our students, parents should use the Call For Safety phone line and report the student’s name, day or dates the student is absent or tardy, and the reason for the absence or tardy.
