LEF Events
The Livingston Education Foundation (LEF) is busy preparing for our Inaugural Livingston High School Homecoming Weekend. This October 2010 weekend includes the:
Hall of Fame Honorees Visit LHS
Lancer Homecoming Football Game
LHS Hall of Fame Dinner
5K Run
We look forward to welcoming back alumni who will join us in “Celebrating Education,” the theme for the weekend. Many high schools and colleges today bring back alumni each year as a means to build strong ties between alumni, school and community, as well as to build a network of volunteers able to assist with special events and fundraising initiatives to benefit the schools.
Everyone is invited to cheer on our Lancer football team at the Homecoming Game on October 15th. Three alumni have been chosen to be inducted into the Livingston High School Hall of Fame at a dinner to be held at the Cedar Hill Country Club on October 16th. To promote wellness and wellness education, and in partnership with the Big ‘L’ Club and the West Essex YMCA, a 5K Run will be held on Sunday, October 17th.
We are looking to our community to join in celebrating the success of our honorees, which recognizes their roots in the Livingston Public Schools and to help us raise much needed funds for our schools so we may continue the tradition of meeting the ongoing needs of our students during these tough economic times.
Please consider becoming a community partner:
Cheer on our Lancer football team and visit the booths around the track;
Attend the LHS Hall of Fame Dinner;
Make a tax deductible donation to our Hall of Fame Ad Journal;
Participate in the 5K Run, which will also include a 1K Run/Walk for all ages, activities for children and information on wellness; and/or,
Volunteer to help at one of the Homecoming Weekend events.
Your donation is an investment in our students and will support innovations in teaching which create a rich, safe environment where our students can receive a world class education. The difference between an average and an outstanding school district is directly dependent on the involvement of the community. We welcome you into our community!
