Patricia Russo,
an LHS graduate of 1973 who was inducted into the LHS Alumni Hall of
Fame on Thursday, was honored again during halftime on Friday. Russo, a
nationally respected leader focused on improving the quality of life for
women and an accomplished public speaker, has received numerous awards
and citations including: "Woman of the Year" by the Connecticut Chapters
of both the AAUW and Business and Professional Women, and the Hannah G.
Solomon award, given by the National Council of Jewish Women.
“I’m
thrilled to be back,” said Russo. “It was so exciting because when I
walked onto the football field I said, ‘Wow, this is the first time I’m
actually sensing that this is really familiar.’ Livingston High School
was the center of my universe—I lead this fabulous rollercoaster-ride of
a life because of the experiences that I had here at the high school:
amazing teachers, wonderful friends that I still see to this day and I’m
just taking it all in.”
