  • Genesis Access

We regularly discuss supporting the social and emotional needs of our students. It has become apparent over the past weeks that that having 24-hour access to grades is neither necessary nor in our students’ best interest. As a result, beginning in January when we return from winter break, the Gradebook Tab in Genesis will be disabled on school days only from 7:30am-3:00pm for Livingston High School and 7:30am-3:30pm at Heritage and Mount Pleasant Middle Schools. We will plan to re-evaluate this procedure at some point this spring using student, parent, and staff surveys. At that time, we will reflect on the information gathered and report to the community. During the times that the Gradebook Tab is inaccessible, all other aspects of Genesis will still be available. The Gradebook Tab will be active outside the school day, as well as on weekends and vacations.
