EQUITY AUDIT REPORTDear LPS Community:We are pleased to share the Equity Audit Report provided to us from a2z Consulting. The report includes both qualitative and quantitative data from their equity audit of Livingston Public Schools. The audit was commissioned last spring in order to gather feedback from an outside third-party regarding the impact of our efforts to foster inclusivity and equity in our district. The report is attached to this email. Please remember that, in order to draw conclusions from the report, we will need to systematically unpack the information contained in the document so that we can truly understand what it tells us. That process will begin very soon.If you are interested in hearing directly from the consultant who oversaw the audit, Dr. Shelly Zion, she will be presenting the results of the audit and specifics of the report at the Board of Education Meeting on December 5, 2023 at 7:00pm in the Heritage Middle School Cafeteria. There will be an opportunity for the consultant to answer questions from the audience at that time as well.Thank you,Matt BlockSuperintendent

LONG RANGE FACILITY PLANNING
As we head into the middle of the 21st Century with record high enrollment, Livingston Public Schools is faced with some important questions. What are the district's future facility needs? What building repairs, improvements and replacements are needed moving forward to provide our students with the best possible education? Livingston Public Schools remains committed to maintaining the legacy of excellence that attracts residents who place a high value on education and who wish to live in a community that exceeds expectations in all areas.
The district has been pro-actively planning for the future in many ways, including closely monitoring enrollment, commissioning a demographic study, working collaboratively with Township of Livingston officials, and establishing a Long Range Facility Planning Committee.
Visit the district's Long Range Facility Planning webpage to learn more about the committee, and view related presentations and press releases.

PROCESS FOR ADDRESSING PARENT CONCERNS:
Livingston Public Schools strives to respond to concerns and/or questions as quickly and effectively as possible. In a school system, as in any organization, the “chain of command” refers to communication levels of authority in the school district.
VIEW THE PROCESS FOR ADDRESSING PARENT CONCERNS.
The philosophy behind the chart in the document is to refer community members to those people in the organization who can best solve any concerns or questions that may arise, and then direct them to the appropriate people if issues are not able to be effectively addressed at the first level. Thank you for your continued partnership!
