    2023-2024 Audition Information

    Audition Process

    • Audition materials will be posted on the LHS Jazz Band Auditions Schoology group.

    • You MUST fill out the audition application Google Form (Jazz Band Application) by November 10.

    • Auditions are  in person at LHS on November 14, 3pm-6pm.

    • You will be asked to perform the excerpt for your instrument. The excerpt need not be memorized.

    • You will be asked to perform the blues and dorian scales for your instrument in the swing style. You may use your scale sheet.

    • You will be asked to perform a brief sight-reading excerpt.
