How to use google classroom!
First Time From School:
- Open your Chrome Book. It should automatically bring you to the sign-in screen.
- IF it is not on, press the power button all the way to the right.
- IF it asks you to choose a wifi, choose LPS Guest.
- Next, use the e-mail and password Mrs. Dugan provided you with to sign into your Chrome Book.
- You must spell your e-mail and password correctly for it to work
- Your password must have the first letter capitalized (ex. Spell98)
- Once you sign in, you will see a screen that is asking you to accept the terms and conditions.
- You must scroll to the bottom to see the button you have to press (to scroll you use two fingers touching the track pad OR touch the screen and scroll down)
- Press “I accept. Continue to my account”.
- Immediately after pressing that button, Google Chrome will open.
- In the search bar, please type www.livingston.org and press enter.
- Then, go to the drop down menu at the top of the page and select, Hillside Elementary School.
- Click on Teacher Pages.
- Find my Teacher Page – Dana Wallock and click on it.
- Once on my teacher page, click the link that says “Google Classroom”.
- Then, you will see a link on that page – click the link and that will bring you to our Google Classroom.
- Once the Google Classroom you must scroll down again to click “student” where it says “I am a…”
- After you do that, you will be brought to our Google Classroom – you must click “JOIN”.
- Once you are in, you’ll be prompted to start a tour, please click the ‘X’ to stop the tour.
From Home or Second Time Using It:
- Open your web browser (Google Chrome, if you have it).
- In the search bar, please type www.livingston.org and press enter.
- Then, go to the drop down menu at the top left hand side of the page and select, Hillside Elementary School
- Click on Teacher Pages.
- Find my Teacher Page – Laura Dugan and click on it.
- Once on my teacher page, click the link that says “Google Classroom”.
- Then, you will see a link on that page – click the link and that will bring you to Google Classroom.
- Use your e-mail (firstname.lastname@lps-students.org) and password to sign in - see label we glued in to our agenda books on 11-10-14 for info if you need it.
- After you do that, you will be brought to our Google Classroom.
- Start assignment assigned that you are going to work on by clicking on the link of the assignment.
- When you are done with the assignment, click on “Turn In” on the top right corner of your screen near where it says “Share.”
From home, without going to LPS:
- Open your web browser (Google Chrome, if you have it).
- In the search bar, please type www.google.classroom.com and press enter.
- Use your school e-mail and password to sign in.
a. e-mail (firstname.lastname@lps-students.org)
b. Your password must have the first letter capitalized (ex. Spell98)
c. You must spell your e-mail and password correctly for it to work.
4. After you do that, you will be brought to our Google Classroom.
5. Start assignment assigned that you are going to work on by clicking on the link of the assignment.
6. When you are done with the assignment, click on “Turn In” on the top right corner of your screen near where it says “Share.”
