It is so important that your child reads every day. Just like in anything you are learning to do, whether it’s a sport, dance, riding a bike, or learning a new language... you need to practice and reading is no different! Each night your child will bring home a book or two to read. Please encourage your child to build a daily habit of reading!
Below are our homework procedures:
Have fun with your reading!
1. Bring home your reading intervention folder each day.
2. Find a cozy and quiet space, then open your reading intervention folder.
3. Read one of both of your books to a family member or a beloved pet.
4. Talk about your book(s) and what you're thinking.
5. Put your book(s) back into your reading folder. Be sure to put your reading intervention folder in your backpack to bring to school the next day!
