• Welcome to First Grade!  

                                                     

                                                     

            Hi First Grader, 

                 My name is Mrs. Cognetti and I am so excited to be your  teacher this year! We are going to have so much fun together!

     

                   First Day Information: 

    • School Starts at 7:55am. 

    • Please bring in one small item or photograph that reminds you of your fantastic summer.

    • Please bring in one of your favorite picture books.

    • Please bring your own snack and water bottle (labeled with your name). 

    • Please bring in a complete change of clothing (shirt, pants, socks, underwear, etc.) labeled with your name on each article of clothing and place all items in a labeled ziploc plastic bag.

    • Please bring in an old t-shirt, button-up, etc. to serve as a smock for Art. Be sure to put your name on the tag inside. 

    • Come in with a big 😁 and be ready to learn!

     

                 For Parents/Guardians:

    • Please label EVERYTHING! Clothing, lunch box, backpack etc.

    • Let me know of any transportation changes each day in writing and let the office know as well, as we cannot check email during the school day when we are teaching.

    • Check your child’s take home folder EACH night! Please be sure to empty out any work/notices that have been sent home and/or corrected.

    • Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or important information that I might need to know. I will be sending home other important information about procedures once school starts.

    First grade is an important year filled with opportunities for social and academic growth. I consider my role in your child’s educational development to be a privilege. 

    It is also important for your children to feel confident that their parents and teacher are working together and are in frequent communication.
