Livingston High School (LHS) is celebrating an outstanding year of musical achievement, as LHS student musicians earned admittance into the NJMEA All-State Chorus, Band, Orchestra and Jazz ensembles. In addition to student instrumentalists placing in many top chairs, it was a banner year for the Choir Program. This year, a school-record 20 LHS Chorus students successfully auditioned for and were accepted into the prestigious New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA) All-State Chorus.

Shown above, members of the All-State Chorus include (Top L-R)  Allison Zhou, Aanya RajSharma, Rhea Fernando, Aditya Mirchandani, Samay Nistala, Enya Li, Jaden Nzekwu, Elisha Rao, Peter Min, Ethan Liu, Olivia Huang, (Bottom L-R) Christa Thomas, Megan Rose Rabe, Swara Thakur, Jessica Hao, Ira Tiwary, Jonathan Vizcarra, Kanav Sonawane, and Jasper Cheng.

To secure their spots, these talented students competed in rigorous auditions against the top student musicians from across the entire state of New Jersey. The students accepted into the All-State ensembles will showcase their talents at upcoming major performances next school year, including concerts in Atlantic City and at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark.

"We are incredibly proud of all our student musicians who dedicated countless hours to prepare for these highly competitive auditions," said Dan King, Director of Choral Activities at LHS. "Having so many students from LHS compete at such a high level speaks volumes about the dedication of our students and the strength of the music department here at LHS."

A full list of accepted students across all disciplines can be seen below.
