Beginning this upcoming school year, teachers and students in grades 6-12 will be using Schoology, a learning management platform that allows teachers to 1) share content and resources, 2) provide feedback to students in a timely and efficient manner, and 3) monitor student engagement and progress more effectively. Schoology extends the opportunity for students to learn and extend their thinking anywhere, anytime, and at their own pace.
Information for parents will be provided throughout the year to give greater insight into how students will use Schoology to submit homework assignments, review grades, participate in interactive discussions, receive school announcements and feedback on assignments, take tests, write academic blogs, and more.
Students may access Schoology through the provided button on their school’s website, or in Student Resources, and log in using their Livingston Username (firstname.lastname) and Password. Additional help and support for Schoology can be found under Technology Resources (https://www.livingston.org/domain/2022 ) on the district website.
Please Note: Schoology will be the place to access all course materials for students in grades 6-12. As this is our fist year implementing Schoology with teachers and students, staff will be encouraged to begin to experiment with the features and functions in their classes. As a result, the extent of the content and use may vary from teacher to teacher. Genesis Parent Portal will remain as the primary location to view your child's grades.
