Before the end of the 2022-2023 school year, the Heritage Middle School Forensics Interpretive Reading and Oratorical Declamation teams took part in the 27th Annual Union Catholic Annual Forensics Tournament. This Forensics tournament included five different categories of performance. Heritage participated in Interpretive Reading, in which students read a passage from a book or poem, and Oratorical Declamation, in which students present a memorized excerpt from a speech. The team excelled, earning the second place Team Award, and many students earned individual awards for their presentations.
For Interpretive Reading, Jessica Marks earned fifth place. Also competing were Rebekah Dorozhkin, Olivia Huang, Aashi Kohad, and Jenny Xu. In the Oratorical Declamation category, Shubhada Bhoyar earned first place, Maya Ray earned third place, and Matthew Smith earned fourth. Anabelle Krom-Hernandez and Arya Parikh competed in the Semi-Finals.
