On Thursday, May 5, 2022, Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) announced the winners of her fourth annual Congressional Art Competition for high school students in New Jersey’s 11th District at an in-person reception at Montclair State University where all the participants’ submissions were displayed. Livingston High School sophomore Yunfeng Wu won second place for his artwork, “Chaos and Resilience.”

The Congressional Art Competition began in 1982 to provide an opportunity for members of Congress to encourage and recognize the artistic talents of their young constituents. Since then, over 650,000 high school students have been involved with the nationwide competition.

This year’s NJ 11th District submissions were reviewed by Montclair State University art and humanities professors Nicole Archer, Christopher Kaczmarek, and Christopher Parker.
