The Livingston High School Lancer Marching Band recently hopped on two coach buses with 86 band members and traveled to Cleveland, Ohio, where band members attended had a clinic at Case Western University with the Director of Bands, Dr. Ryan V. Scherber. Members of the Color Guard attended a workshop with Karianne Hardman.  After the workshops the band gave a 30 minute performance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

The next day the band offered a second performance in a parade at Cedar Point Amusement Park.  That evening, they attended a concert at the beautiful, historic Severance Hall to hear the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. While in Cleveland they also attended a Cleveland Guardians game, and visited the Cleveland Aquarium and the Cleveland Zoo! The Lancer Marching Band Head Director, Michael Jedwabnik and Assistant Director, James Hegedus led the band in both performances. Percussion Instructor, Jenny Rupert and Guard Instructor, Maureen Biss also accompanied the students on the trip and helped lead their respective groups in the marching band.

Historically, the marching band would take a trip every two to four years, however this marked the first marching band trip since 2016 due to the COVID pandemic.
