- Keeping Us Safe -- Livingston Police on Internet Safety
-
On Monday, October 19th, Officers Joy Klapal, Ralph Kolbusz, and Gary Mankowitz from the Livingston Police Department presented a lesson on Internet Safety to 4th and 5th grade students. The officers stressed that while the internet, cell phones, iPods, iPads, etc. are valuable resources, we need to be safe and use them responsibly. The Officers addressed issues such as not sharing personal information and passwords online, telling a parent if an email, text message or instant message is received from someone unknown, and being aware that on the internet, people can pretend to be someone they are not. The students were an attentive audience as they were reminded to continue to use technology safely.
