5-A-Day!Brian Richards, also known as the Nutrition Magician, had students and staff engaged and laughing on March 24th as he talked about the serious subject of good nutrition. Using humour and magic, Brian explained how eating 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day from each of the categories (where colors correspond to health benefits) can keep us healthy and strong. Thanks to the PTA who funds this program -- which has become a true favorite -- the Harrison family learned that fruits and vegetables that are:Green help your teeth and bones,Yellow and Orange provide vitamin C,White help your heart,Purple are good sources of fiber, andRed help your brain!Enjoy the photos and then don't forget to become a 5-A-Day Family!
