Did you know that the availability of traditional fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas is limited? Harrison 5th graders do! And so, over the last several months, they have investigated -- through classroom study, individual and group research, and a visit to Liberty Science Center -- five alternative energy sources: geothermal, wind, solar, tidal, and hydro electric. They worked diligently and creatively to construct presentation boards, SketchUp blueprints, and models of what a "green school" would look like. Their hard work culminated in oral presentations on April 14th:
