Construction Updates - Spring 2008May 19th Board Meeting UpdateBusiness adminstrator Steve Robinson reported that the science, music wing, applied technology spaces and physical education building are moving ahead with "notable progress. . .If everything cooperates, our plan is to complete the track work phase of the project and turn the track back to LHS by early September."Turner Construction is working towards finishing the science building by January 2009, the music wing by the beginning of the 2008 school year, and the physical education building by mid-January 2009.Once the exterior structure additions are complete, the interior renovations will begin. Construction officials are hopeful that all construction will be completed by the opening of school in September 2010.
Update at April 7 Board of Education Meeting by Tim Howarth, Turner Construction-
Area A (Science Wing): the second floor slab has been poured. Masonry to begin soon. Anticipated completion is December 31, 2008.

Area B (Music Wing): Brick work should be complete by beginning of next week. Interior concrete masonry units are complete. Beginning rough electrical, duct work and storm piping. Anticipated completion is September 1, 2008.

Area C (Technology Area): Sprayed on fireproofing is complete, concrete masonry units complete, rooftop units set and rough electrical work complete. On April 28, the school is turning over autoshop and CAD rooms for work to begin. On schedule to be ready for opening of school in September.

PE Building "just about out of ground." Steel work and pouring slab for locker room area expected to begin next week. Anticipated completion is December 2008/January 2009.

Track: about 8 weeks behind. Trying to expedite with goal of September completion.

Auditorium: Work on front entrance will begin when school ends in June. It will not be able to be used from June 2008-March 2009.

Cafeteria: Expected completion during the second summer; ready for March/April 2009.
