Opera? In an elementary school? Why not? On Friday, October 28th, recent graduates of Julliard presented their original program at Harrison School. Through music, creativity, and storytelling, the young adults, all professionally trained opera singers, involved the students in an interactive Superhero Opera. The focus of the presentation was to inspire students to discover their superpowers -- those inner talents and special gifts that every individual possesses which can be used to help others. Self-empowerment and anti-bullying themes were reinforced as well in a unique show that was enjoyed by all.
