• After all the attention on February 2nd, groundhogs retreated back to their dens.  But in the wake of a prediction for six more weeks of winter, 1st graders at Harrison School got busy! Students from all three classes were mixed into various groups as they rotated through five stations: "If I were a snowman at night"; tech practice; creating snowman; creating snowflakes; and writing and drawing about animal behavior in winter.  In addition to exhibiting attentive listening and cooperation, students demonstrated their writing and creative skills, as well as the knowledge they have gained through recent units including animal adaptation.
